Challenge: The Dominican Republic faced a significant challenge in providing access to quality English language education, particularly in rural and underserved regions. Traditional classroom-based instruction was limited, and there was a need for scalable, flexible solutions to enhance English proficiency nationwide.
Solution: In collaboration with Jinso Labs, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (MESCYT) launched the "Inglés de Inmersión para la Competitividad" program. This initiative integrated AI-powered language learning through WhatsApp, offering personalized, 24/7 tutoring to over 2,000 students in its pilot phase. The program aimed to complement traditional classroom instruction by providing adaptive, on-demand learning experiences.
Outcome: The deployment was executed, with Jinso's platform integrated across five institutions within a week. This rapid implementation ensured that all participating students had access to the AI-driven language learning tools.
The program reached over 2,000 students in its initial phase, with plans to expand to more than 50,000 students nationwide.
By leveraging WhatsApp, a widely used messaging platform, the program overcame geographical and technological barriers, providing equitable access to quality language education.
AI-powered chatbots offered real-time feedback, corrected grammatical errors, and adapted to individual learning paces, enhancing the learning experience.
Educators gained insights into student progress through dashboards, enabling informed interventions and support.

Challenge: Pernambuco, a state in Brazil, faced a major challenge in ensuring widespread access to quality English language education for its public school students. Many students in rural and underserved areas lacked the resources for effective learning, especially in languages that are crucial for global competitiveness. Traditional classroom instruction was insufficient to bridge the educational gap, leading to low proficiency rates in English among students.
Solution: Pernambuco’s education system partnered with Jinso Labs to roll out an AI-driven English language learning platform. The program, launched in 2025, aimed to provide scalable, personalized learning to public school students using the ubiquitous WhatsApp platform. This approach integrated artificial intelligence to offer adaptive learning experiences, focusing on areas like writing, speaking, and fluency, ensuring that all students, regardless of location, had access to quality instruction.
Outcome: The platform was initially deployed as a pilot in several schools across Pernambuco, with immediate success. The program's ability to reach students from diverse backgrounds and geographic areas proved pivotal.
The initiative reached over 1,000 students in its early stages, with plans for further expansion, aiming to provide English lessons to tens of thousands of students across the state by 2026.
By leveraging WhatsApp, the program overcame infrastructure challenges, ensuring that students in even the most remote areas could participate in language learning without the need for expensive devices or internet connections.
Jinso’s AI-driven tutor tailored lessons based on individual learning speeds and proficiency, offering real-time corrections and feedback on grammar and pronunciation. This made each student’s learning path uniquely suited to their needs.
Educators were given access to detailed progress reports through an intuitive dashboard, allowing them to monitor student performance and intervene when necessary. This empowered teachers to offer personalized support while fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Challenge: Pernambuco's flagship exchange program, Ganhe o Mundo ("Win the World"), selects thousands of public school students annually to study abroad in English and Spanish-speaking countries. However, even after rigorous selection, many students lacked the conversational fluency needed to thrive in immersive international environments. Traditional classroom preparation left gaps in real-time speaking confidence, and the state needed a solution that could rapidly elevate students' conversational abilities in the critical months before departure.
Solution: In partnership with Jinso Labs, the Pernambuco Department of Education integrated AI-powered conversational practice into the pre-departure preparation for students selected in the 2024 cohort. Launching in September 2025, the program provided free licenses to selected students for 4-5 months of intensive practice before their scheduled travel in the second semester of 2025. The platform focused specifically on conversational fluency—helping students practice real-world dialogue scenarios they would encounter abroad, from navigating daily life to engaging in academic discussions.
Outcome:The collaboration represented a first-of-its-kind research partnership combining government-scale deployment with academic rigor. The program demonstrated Jinso's capacity to support high-stakes, time-bound language preparation.
The pilot served students from the 2024 selection cohort, with a framework designed to scale across future program cycles and potentially extend to the thousands of students selected annually for international exchange.
By delivering preparation through WhatsApp, students across Pernambuco, including those in remote municipalities, could practice conversational English without requiring additional devices or infrastructure beyond what they already used daily.
Jinso's AI tutor adapted to each student's proficiency level, providing targeted practice on pronunciation, conversational flow, and the specific scenarios they would encounter abroad, from classroom interactions to host family conversations.
While the initial deployment focused on English, the Ganhe o Mundo program also sends students to Spanish-speaking countries. Jinso's platform architecture supports multilingual expansion, positioning it to serve the full scope of the exchange program's language preparation needs in future cohorts.
